The Hobsons Student Union has compiled some key dates just for you to use as you begin planning for college. Missing one cut-off date could spell trouble for your plans to apply to your favorite colleges. Utilize this handy reference calendar to remind yourself of crucial dates.
Freshman Year
Fall Term
Plan Ahead! Schedule time to meet with your guidance counselor and plan a strategy of courses that will meet college entrance requirements.
Sophomore Year
October
Take the PSAT. Your sophomore year scores will not count toward the National Merit Scholarship Competition, but it is good practice.
December
Receive results of PSAT and/or PLAN. Consult with your guidance counselor to investigate ways to improve scores on standardized tests.
April
Registration for the June SAT II: Subject Tests are taking place.
