Overview
Concordia University is a large, urban university with academic roots going back more than 150 years. Dedicated to academic achievement, we offer students a chance to study in an exceptional educational environment in one of the world's most diverse cities.

Academics
Our wide range of academic programs provides a unique and challenging educational experience for both part-time and full-time students. We offer more than 230 undergraduate and graduate programs through the Faculties of Arts and Science, Engineering and Computer Science, Fine Arts, and the John Molson School of Business (AACSB-accredited), as well as the School of Graduate Studies.

Students
At Concordia University, students not only explore their academic interests, but because of our diverse student body, they also learn about other people and experience student life as never before. There are more than 30,000 students studying at Concordia, including 3,144 international students from more than 100 countries. About 59 percent of our students are Anglophone, 16 percent are Francophone, and 25 percent represent other language groups. Our 3,500 staff and faculty members ensure that students receive the support and services they need throughout their university years.

Flexibility
Concordia promotes an interdisciplinary approach to learning and is a trailblazer in accommodating student needs by offering flexible class schedules, part-time programs, and services such as advocacy and support, counselling and development, health services, recreation and athletics, services for the disabled, and much more.

Campus Life
Concordia has two campuses: the Sir George Williams campus in the downtown core, and the Loyola campus seven kilometres away in the west end of the city. The campuses are connected by a free shuttle bus service. In addition to the academic side of student life, Concordia is a vibrant community that offers students a wealth of opportunities to meet other students and enrich their educational experience outside the classroom. There are more than 160 clubs and student associations, as well as fraternities and sororities and an athletic program that includes interuniversity teams and recreational athletics.

Cooperative Education
Concordia is the only English-language university in Québec that offers a cooperative education program, in which academic study terms are alternated with work terms. Students obtain practical, on-the-job experience in their academic discipline while working toward a degree.

Financial Aid
Students from the United States may apply for a Higher Education Loan Plan through their local banking facility and should send their loan forms to Concordia University's Financial Aid and Awards Office for processing. Scholarships, bursaries and loans are generally not available to international students however, the Faculty of Arts and Science and the John Molson School of Business offer a limited number of entrance scholarships.

Montréal, Québec
Montréal has been rated as one of the safest, cleanest, and least expensive cosmopolitan cities in which to live. It is a world leader in cutting-edge industries and technologies such as aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and biotechnology. Beyond the classroom, students can enjoy this multilingual city of 3.4 million by attending the many concerts, festivals, museums, theatre performances, and athletic events that are offered year-round. The city is home to the Montréal International Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs Festival, Cirque du Soleil, the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, and the Formula I Grand Prix.
